Mrs. Darwin drags herself to the computer...

Remember that Calvin and Hobbes strip where the slug is getting ready for school, oozing a trail of slime over the house, and the last panel has Calvin's mom asking him why he's so sluggish this morning? If I had any less energy, I would turn into that slug. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we Darwins are practicing what we preach here and reproducing ourselves again. Baby Darwin (henceforth known as "Smaskig", because I said so) is about seven weeks along and is joining its sisters in wearing Mama out.

I am possessed of a heavy, bone-numbing weariness and intermittent waves of queasiness, along with with a mental dullness that settles upon me just as we've received several books from Amazon that I particularly wanted to read with clear mind. Oh well... At least Noogs and Babs have all sorts of energy and have taken it upon themselves to remove everything from the high shelves in the house so that I can find everything on the floor and not have to bother with lifting my head.

Congratulations!!! And much sympathy for your sluggishness (although Gui is only 4 months and I'm already starting to get nostalgic about pregnancy - so quickly we forget. ;-))

Congratulations! That queasiness stuff is the pits...I remember well. So does this mean February? hmmm...now what's the excuse for my sluggishness? not the same as yours unfortunately...

Thank you, thank you. I wish I could write more but it's such a burden to lift my fingers to type.... You think I'm kidding, but I'm absolutely in earnest.

I believe you...did you feel this way with your daughters? Or is it worse? Take care and let Darwin take care of your girls for a while...hehehe...

Slug, slug, slug...

I can't exactly remember how tired I was with the girls, but I can't think I was this absolutely wiped. (Darwin concurs.) I tell you that at night I lay on my bed and ponder the ineffable rest of eternal beatitude. How I pine for it! especially when I have a warm little body sprawled across my stomach, and another warm body curled around my leg as if she were cuddling her baby doll.
