But it's been fun, and I'm really glad you're enjoying reading. And thanks for Dear Aaron; I'm overwhelmed and so pleased.mrsdarwinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03446744635277205867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13522238.post-54670899798913687692019-12-05T23:36:46.404-05:002019-12-05T23:36:46.404-05:00*I meant to add ', so thank you and keep up th...*I meant to add ', so thank you and keep up the good work!' to the end of the third paragraphChristinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02198798962552500375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13522238.post-33309601284419341982019-12-05T23:01:42.595-05:002019-12-05T23:01:42.595-05:00Geez, guys, I know you just realized a lot of trau...Geez, guys, I know you just realized a lot of traumatic family history and all, but at least take a moment to appreciate the fact that you just figured out that you’re half-second cousins two times removed. I mean, I know your relationship is experiencing problems at the moment, but you know what else it is? Eighth-degree consanguinity in the collateral line! [https://catholicexchange.com/can-cousins-marry-in-the-church] Which means that, since it’s well over the five degrees necessary, you’re good to go to get validly married in the Catholic Church. (…Yes, I know they could probably just assume that they’re distantly-related enough by looking at the DNA report, but where’s the fun in that?!)

By the way, this is hands down my favorite of the stories I’ve read by both you and your husband (with the exception of the unfinished The Great War trilogy, probably). I like mysteries, and I love logical analysis and genealogy (as should be obvious), so this story is right up my alley. It has a good balance of happy romance novel and depressing but fascinating backstory, and I’ve been hooked since early on.

Anyway, I almost never comment on here, but I’ve been reading off and on for years now, and as a (now-)graduate of FUS, I enjoy hearing your guys’ take on things. (I actually just recommended this blog to an FUS grad student on Thanksgiving.)

To close, here’s a bit of a parody of Dear Theodosia, since thinking about Aaron Moore singing that song to his son was what made me finally realize that the reason his name sounds familiar is that it reminds me of Aaron Burr. (As a side note, I actually heard about Hamilton for the first time from you guys mentioning it.) Actually, it got too long so I’m just gonna leave it under the last installment of the story, since that’s where it belongs anyway.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02365125230430714406noreply@blogger.com
