I find it impossible to write an objective post about giving birth less than a week away from the event (right now my summary would be: "pain sucks") but here's a few pix of baby for them as is interested.
Even the cat likes the baby.

nice pics. congrats. now we ought to see mom & dad with young Master Darwin.
What a little dollie. Looking forward to the birth account when perspective returns!
What a cutie. You know I'm going to get that birth story out of you, don't you? ;)
Love those pics! Awwwww. :-)
Meh, birthstory-wise there's almost nothing to tell. Not too fast, not too slow, no stitches (now THAT'S the amazing part), almost textbook perfect. But I'm not at that point yet where I can see past the pain of of the bizarre and unnatural act of pushing a head through my pelvis to say, "Oh yeah, everything went smoothly and here's the happy details."
Cliff, you'll have to wait for me to lose some of this baby weight before I even consider posting a picture of myself. :)
I couldn't believe how great postpartum could be the one time I didn't have stitches!
BTW, he has a beautiful head!
My Doodle and Chiclette both approve! (The oldest thinks he's cute, too, and probably envies your girls their little brother!) Chiclette was pointing and laughing at the pics. And Doodle loved the cat! ;)
He's just precious. He looks so fuzzy!! And I agree, he does have a beautiful head!
Both he and his next-older sister (holding him in the picture) had beautifully cherubic round heads at birth. The difference is that with sister I required stitches because she arrived much faster. I guess I had the teensiest laceration, but I told the midwife that I'd stay in bed a week if only I didn't have to get stitches. I haven't stayed in bed a week, and I'm beginning to regret it. Tomorrow I'll mend my ways.
His head is awfully smoochable.
Oooh. That's a beautiful little baby. Thanks for posting pics.
Aw it took me so long to come see but what a gorgeous baby! (and that cat isn't so bad either.. :) )
Congratulations!!
If you see a whole lotta hits to your blog from me - just ignore it.. it's my three year old daughter forcing me to let her look at the baby over and over and over.... :p
Our cat does the same thing! And then she gives us a "don't look at ME" look when he inevitably wakes up and starts fussing.
Hey! And *we* have that doggie nightgown, too! I think this is the year for doggie-themed boywear, infant-wise. (hyphens make words out of anything)
Beautiful! I love the one where his big sister is holding him!
Every time I look at pictures of that baby, it makes my milk let down.
