Hugely valuable insight into the faith ...Thank you! Hugely valuable insight into the faith - it is all too tempting to let our vivid imaginations place us at the centre, instead of God, and in the case of funerals, the suffering family. And excellent advice to your altar serving son!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13522238.post-46978323766396280382019-07-01T00:36:10.473-04:002019-07-01T00:36:10.473-04:00" It is no part of God to spend the present m..." Staying in the moment sounds like the perfect way to honor the family.

As we were driving there, I talked to my 10yo son, who was going to serve the mass. "This is going to be a sad occasion, and many people may be overwhelmed. If you start to feel emotional, remember that we're here to serve the family. Our job is to help without calling attention to ourselves, or do anything to distract the people who are grieving more because they're closer to the situation." - perfect advice to your son.

Antoinettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03227352741756989334noreply@blogger.com
