Awkward predicament for a doctor, eh?"<br /><br />I think the important word here is arbitrary. If one thinks the idea of normalcy is arbitrary it is a matter of choice whether we accept it. It is interesting how much the fact that humans, burdened by sin, want moral normalcy to be arbitrary so much that they decide every idea of normalcy is arbitrary (while common sense does give us a concept for health and sickness, for instance - even if I, being a doctor, understand that borderlines can be somewhat blurred)<br />Agnesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13522238.post-59806280006951734342015-06-11T22:47:22.338-04:002015-06-11T22:47:22.338-04:00Ah, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

And I think it gets quite to the point: perhaps the fundamental issue of the modern age is whether reason has any ability to determine what things are, independently of what one wants them to be, and this comes to a head in the question of what human beings are.Brandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06698839146562734910noreply@blogger.com
