A quick check of Google Maps shows both a Gold Star Chili and a Skyline Chili in the vicinity of the seminary. Your brother is doubly blessed. Cincinnati chili is proof that God loves us! (And logically it would follow that I'm in some sort of purgatory here in Philly.)
I'm ambivalent toward Cincinnati chili -- my mom always made more of a Texas-style pot. I don't really love the hits of cinnamon and cocoa in the Cincinnati version, and believe it or not, I never went to Gold Star until the day before I moved from Cincinnati to Los Angeles.
I've never been to Gold Star and I've lived here my entire life...I actually like my own homemade version of Skyline better (I use Cincinnati Recipe chili mix). I have a brother who lives in Arkansas and everytime he comes home, Skyline is the first place he goes (before he even visits my parents).
WOOHOO! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCool. Congratulations to him.

Yeah Tim...and don't forget Chillicothe too! ;)
