I admire the film makers brilliance more and more with each viewing. It's amazing what was done with just editing and a change of music. I Also loved how he altered Julie Andrews singing to from the original for added effect.

I'd call disturbing a compliment in this case. It's supposed to be disturbing.
Does anyone else remember the movie Dark City, which featured the silently flying men in dark coats? In the context of this, Mary's flying reminds me of that.
I had heard of a similar trailer being made out of the Sound of Music -- it won some award some years ago. I wonder if Julie Andrews secretly scares some people -- sort of like fear of clowns.
