The Heavenly Choirs of Crickets

These guys sing better than you do.

Your moment of beauty for the day: the sound of crickets, slowed down. They sing in full ethereal harmony, with descant and basso profundo, and they rise and swell and have dynamics and sound like the music of the spheres. Glorious!

I used to love the sound of crickets - until I moved to Northern Virginia. The darn critters think I'm running a hostel. At all hours of the day and night I can hear them all over the apartment, no matter how clean it is. I'm dreading the night that I wake up with one in my bed.
