Awwww...

Uber-homeschooler/writer Maureen Wittman emails about her teen daughter hitting one of those milestones that ought to warm any parent's heart:
Some mothers cherish the day they take their daughters out for their first manicure or to buy their first prom dress.

This week I took Teen Daughter One out to buy her first shotgun.
Nor, it seems, is this by any means their first venture into shooting sports.

Now those Darwin girls just need to hurry up and grow up enough to be able to do fun stuff. (More fun than trike-riding, that is.)
