Margaret Thatcher and the Dead Parrot Sketch

In honor of the late Baroness Thatcher, we present to you the most delightful thing we've seen in a good while: the then-Prime Minister delivering, absolutely deadpan, the Monty Python Dead Parrot sketch.

I did miss the line about how, if he weren't nailed to his perch, he'd be pushing up daisies.

Margaret Thatcher quoting Monty Python? I think I need to go sit down and have a cuppa.

Thank you SO much for posting that! I'd never heard of her having done that before, and oh, what I'd missed!

Priceless Mrs. D!. Have Dawin put this up on The American Catholic! Hilarious!

This version of the Parrot Sketch has a Thatcher-related payoff at the end.
