On this day in 2001...

We got married!

When I first met Darwin, I thought he was perfect. It was a great mystery to me why women weren't falling over themselves to move in his orbit. Now that we've been married for five years, I still think he's perfect -- not generically perfect, as in the heady days of freshman year, but the perfect complement for me.

Here's to many more years as happy as the last five have been!

Happy 5th Anniversary!

And let me say that our cake looked ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE that rather vile picture that MrsDarwin found online somewhere...

Happy 5th, I just celebrated my 3rd with my wonderful wife.

Also, did you graduate FUS in 2001? I graduated in 2002 and just wondering if I know you?

Congratulations!!

And my daughter has pronounced that cake "beautiful!" - but I think she thinks anything with frosting is going to be beautiful :-)

He doesn't have enough mass. I hope that helps, cupcake.

It's possible, PB -- Steubenville is so small that everyone knows everyone else at least by reputation, if not personally... If you were at all involved with theater then we certainly knew you. I worked at the bookstore 2000-2001, so I saw most people on campus.

If you check under Hodge in the latest directory you'll find both of us -- maybe that'll ring a bell for you.

Rick -- that's Dr. Cupcake to you!

Thanks, I will have to check the directory when I get home. Although, while theater was not for me, I do remember one couple who helped out on the "drama team" when I assisted in orientation during fall of 2000. Hmmm...

Huh. If you're thinking of the Variations on the Death of Trotsky orientation play, that was the one I directed...

I think I know who you are. Not completely sure though. Oh well, happy aniversary!

mrsdarwin said...

Ah, but the question is, who are you?

A happy, blessed Anniversary to you both! May our dear Lord grant you many peaceful, joyful years together...
(and I'm really glad that your wedding cake didn't look like that)...hehehe

God grant you many years! (actually, the original "mnogaya lieta" means "many summers")

Congratz, guyz!

I transfered in fall of 99, I had a unicycle. Does that ring any bells?

mrsdarwin said...

Unicycle, hmm... We remember that there was a unicycle around campus, but not who had it.

Rick Lugari said...

A unicycle? Shouldn't be hard to figure out MrsD. How many clowns or mimes could there be on the the campus of Franciscan University?

Oh wait...FU is the one with all the charismatics. Nevermind...

;)

mrsdarwin said...

Well, I don't think it was a liturgical unicycle.

PB said...

Well now you know.

Prost!

I raise a glass to many more years of happiness. (The glass is full of homebrew hefe-weizen, just so you know that I'm not toasting you with a crappy beverage...)
