You guys would not believe how long it takes me to write even a non-substantive post these day. Maybe that's because I'm busy schooling my children to appreciate a long and noble tradition going back to Plautus and Aristophanes: slapstick.

And how many of us also got our first taste of classical music through Bugs Bunny cartoons too?
I certainly got my beginnings in classical music as a result of Bugs Bunny and other cartoons. I must also say that any tolerance I have towards 12 tone music is a direct result of some animators making use of it.
On another note, a good number of years ago, when I had tried to see if some one else could direct my church choir other than me, I made the mistake of allowing a rather power-hunger person to give it a try. He also had something of a rabbity look about him, and when he started directing with large, magisterial gestures and a maniacal glare, I could do no other than to turn to one of my fellow singers and gasp, "Leopold!"
Be sure to introduce them to "Rabbit of Seville" and "What's Opera, Doc" as well!
