I just don't have that much to say this week that doesn't relate to painting my bathroom, but here: I think I will never stop laughing at this:
A) People who live in California DO talk about driving like this.
B) "You have cancer. But don't even worry about it!"
C) Bill Hader totally cracks up in this sketch, which makes it so much funnier.

Mrs. Darwin, being from L.A., I can definitely second this freeway talk. Every day on the way to college or someplace else, my home away from home seems to be my car on the 710, the 105 or the 405.
The freeway talk I know: I used to work the periphery, taking the 605 to the 210 to the 118 to work -- which was much better than my dad's traditional commute of the 101 to the 405 to 10.
But their accents here, these I do not know where they come from.
Darwin, I’d guess one of the "California accents" used in the skit is valley girl talk (like, totally!). There might even be some surfer dude.
This is, like, so totally not true, and I'm like 2nd generation Californian or something. Oh, except for the part about Zankou Chicken - that place is awesome, especially the one off the 210.
Geez. *Everybody* knows you can't get to Mulholland off the 405. You gotta hop the 101 or maybe the 60, or, if you're south, take the 5 to the 10.
And I totally do NOT talk like that. Dude.
