Home again, Home again...

Well, after somewhat extended wandering over several states in the last stage of the Darwin family vacation, we all arrived back home late Sunday night.

It'll take a little while till everyone is all the way back into their schedules, especially as I've plunged back into a very busy week at work right off.

In the mean time, congrats to Jay at Pro Ecclesia whose youngest daughter came into the world a few days ago while we were on the road.

Also, those who were saddened to hear that Scott Carson of An Examined Life had stopped blogging will be glad to see he is back with a flurry of new posts. We had the good fortune to get to meet Scott and his wife while passing through Athens, OH last week and had an enjoyable time all around.

As an OU alumnus, and former Ohio resident, I'm curious as to where you hung out in Athens as well as the name of the Irish pub in C-bus.

We went pubbing in Columbus at O'Ryans in Worthington, down the street from the Josephinum. But in Athens we laid off the gallivanting and did our socializing at our friends' homes.

The area where O'Ryans is located is really neat. I was confirmed in St. Michael right down the street from there. If I can ever land a job back up there, we'll look to live in Worthington.

Probably wise to stay off Court Street. Modesty isn't in "fashion" this time of year. If you ever get a chance, you'll have to visit Dr. Carson in Athens in mid to late October when the foliage is at its peak. It's stunningly beautiful.

It sounds like you enjoyed your trip. I'm glad to have found your blog.
