Random Yet Designed

Scott Carson over at An Examine Life has an excellent post from a while back about how evolutionary biologists talking about "undirected evolution" and ID theorists talking about "design" are in fact discussing different and not necessarily contradictory things. It's a distinction that takes a little while to make clearly, and he does it better than I have to date.
