Taking a cue from the ever-resourceful Julie D. (who takes a cue from Paper Napkin), I want to extend an invitation to all lurkers to stand up and shout, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" or whatever it is that you lurkers do.
Tell us what you really think of DarwinCatholic! (And Mrs. Darwin as well!) Been reading us long? Just found us? Think we're sublime or stupid? Get your fifteen minutes of comment box fame right here!
I think that about says it all.

Hallo.
I found a link to your blog one day, and stuck it in my blog folder, and now I visit most days.
You write well, have interesting posts, and I love hearing about kids.
Thanks for sticking to posting most days.
*relurks, vanishing like a Romulan warship*
(hey, I couldn't let this be a NORMAL post!)
This is just the cat's pajamas! It's always a pleasure to read Mrs. Darwin's merry wit. I've just recently found your blog, and enjoy reading about household nieces I've not yet met.
If you're ever back in Steubie, look up Wayne and me (and Patrick, too!)
For some reason, this thread reminds me of a story about our late, great president, Calvin Coolidge. Coolidge, of course, had a reputation for taciturnity, and a woman sitting next to him at a dinner said, "Oh Mr. President, I hope you're going to talk with me. I made a bet earlier that I could get you to say more than two words to me. I do hope you'll say something to me..."
The President smiled and said, "you lose."
Jeff from Ottawa, Canada here. I found your blog via An Examined Life (or, the other way around...it was a few months ago) and you've been daily reading ever since. An excellent mix of anecdotes and sober pontifications.
*sigh* one of the reasons I don't comment is my inability to write a satisfactory beginning or ending.
I suppose I'll go with:
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
I don't recall how I found your blog, but I have been reading it every day for several months now. I like the excellent writing on interesting topics.
I find the term "lurker" a negative. Readers of other media who don't write letters to the editor or fan mail are just "readers."
Jake--
You're absolutely right. I think that the De-Lurking week is more a shameless bid for comments than anything else, and probably just a ploy to see if anyone's actually reading the thing.
To everyone else--
Thanks for saying hi! It feeds our vanity no end, let me tell you.
