Then The Rains Came

It's been raining pretty much non-stop in the central Texas for the last several weeks, and shows no sign of letting up for more than a day or two at a time in the near future.
All of which is nice, I guess, for a region which has been experiencing drought conditions for the last few years, but when I looked out the window this morning and noticed the animals marching up towards our door two by two, I started to wonder if it was getting to be a little much.
Not that all this necessarily prevents the kids from playing outside -- but it does shorten the time between when they go out and when they become in severe need of a bath down from several hours to about ten minutes.

Same in North Texas. God was good though - it only rained for about thirty minutes on the fourth and by the time evening rolled around there weren't many clouds in the sky. Overall it was a beautiful day.

Lucky Darwins. We're just getting the mosquitoes coming to our door two hundred by two hundred.
