Road Trippin'

Gentle readers! Who lives along this route?

Google gives three different routes; I'm not married to any of them, though I would like to pass through Blacksburg, VA, as upon a time it was my stomping grounds.

I'm just north of all that in Silver Spring, but I've done the 75/81/66 drive a bunch of times and it is a nice drive. Are you guys headed our approximate way?

Coming out in mid-March so we can be The Godparents. We're hoping to see you guys while we're in the area.

By all means take the route up 81 through western VA. Beautiful ride.

(No we are not on any of your routes. But I checked.)

I don't live there, but it reminds me to ask you: you guys travel to Cincinnati sometimes, right?

Bother. If you ever swing up through Canada we'd love to meet you.

I doubt it's likely, though. Got any friends in Ontario to visit?

Bearing,

We do, but I don't know as we will this year, because of this trip to DC (which is a longer drive than the one to Cincy) and because baby is due in July. I love to go back, but now that my dad's big house is on the market there's not one good place for everyone to gather. Sad...

But we'll certainly blog the next time we're heading out there. There's a great contingent of bloggers in the area whom we really enjoy catching up with.

Yeah, we're usually there a few times a year, often around holidays. So you've got to drop me an email when you plan to go to Cincy for a holiday -- we might be there, too.

We've done routes A & C over the last 18 months or so. I liked A a little better in terms of scenery (fields v. swamps), and it's slightly shorter. We're in Dallas now if you'd like to stop by (although that may be a little early in the trip for a break).

Nowhere near us, but say hello to the Shenandoah & Afton Mountain for me!

You're headed to the wrong coast! :-)

But it looks like a neat trip, I'd love to travel through some of that area.

Hello! I have read your blog for a while and enjoy it. I live within 20 minutes of Nashville and would like to meet you if it is one of your stops. - Carol

Rats. Just a day's ride further northeast, and you'd be in my territory (known among some of us here as The Dead Marshes....)

I'm curious how you break the trip up? How many days and where do you stop? We have relatives in PA but have never made the drive. The route would be basically the same.

I'm such a confirmed lurker that I couldn't even manage to delurk on delurking day, but I'll pop in for a minute to let you know that those of us in Nashville would love to meet up with you, if you happen to have time as your drive through.

I'm with Jordana--if you'd like a coffee/playground break in Nashville, we'd love to have you!
