Now he's messing with MY head

Baby at 38 weeks, meditating on his wrongs

Perhaps baby resents having his head repositioned just when he was so comfortable, because now he's playing head games with me. This morning at 6:00 I woke up to an honest-to-goodness contraction -- not that painful, but there. After two more contractions at 30-minute intervals, I got up and started folding laundry and getting my room in order in case I had to call the midwife. And since then? Nothing. Zilch. Nada.

Maybe this is just a sign that there's too much laundry in my room.

Amazing how clear these ultrasound images are getting these days!

Obama supporters got a txt msg as to his VP pick; be nice if we DC supporters get a txt msg at the moment of delivery. Suspense is building.

Mrs. Darwin:

You are certainly in my prayers, and I'm happy the Darwin make heir has moved into a position for his Grand Entrance more considerate to his mother's comfort.

As for him messing with your head, well, that would not surpise me at all, considering that both you and Darwin are possessed of senses of humor that can be, ahem, mischevious.

If Young Darwin has inherited a double dose of this so that he's already enjoying exercising his wit, God help us all.

Very truly yours,
